Terms of Use
Last updated: September 4, 2026These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of bitroot.co (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms; if you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use the Site.
Acceptance and eligibility: by using the Site, you confirm you have reached the age of legal capacity recognized in your jurisdiction. If accessing information related to digital assets is restricted in your country or region, please don't use the Site; you're responsible for knowing and complying with the laws that apply to you.
Use of the Site: you agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use it to distribute malware, spam, or fraudulent content. You also agree to follow the community standards set out in our Code of Conduct, which applies alongside these Terms in community channels.
Intellectual property: all content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, and the Bitroot name and marks, is owned by or licensed to Bitroot and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission, except as permitted under our Bitroot Brand Assets guidelines.
No financial advice: content on the Site — including descriptions of the three-engine architecture, performance figures, and the roadmap — is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, nor an offer to buy, sell, or hold any digital asset. Digital assets are volatile and involve risk, performance figures come from specific test environments and real-world results may vary, and you should do your own research and consult a professional before making any decision.
Accounts and community participation: if you take part in the Bitroot community through third-party platforms linked in the footer (such as Discord, Telegram, or X), your account and conduct there are also governed by that platform's own terms. Bitroot is not responsible for the availability of third-party platforms or how they handle your data.
Scope of intellectual property permission: subject to the Bitroot Brand Assets guidelines, we permit community members, press, and partners to make reasonable, non-disparaging use of the Bitroot name and logo for reporting, educational, or community-building purposes. Any commercial use beyond that guideline requires our prior written permission.
Third-party links: the Site may link to third-party websites or services we don't control, such as block explorers (BRTSCAN), social media platforms, or ecosystem partner sites. These links are provided for convenience only; we're not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or conduct of those third parties, and we recommend verifying their credibility before relying on them.
Disclaimer of warranties: the Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, reliability, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We don't guarantee that performance figures, roadmap items, or timelines mentioned on the Site will be achieved as described.
Limitation of liability: to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bitroot and its team members shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Indemnification: if your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Site causes Bitroot to face a third-party claim or loss, you agree, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to indemnify us for the resulting reasonable losses.
Governing law: these Terms are interpreted under the law applicable where Bitroot's operating entity is established, without affecting any rights you may have as a consumer under mandatory local law.
Termination: if we determine you have seriously violated these Terms or the Code of Conduct, we reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to Site-related community channels without prior notice.
Severability and entire agreement: if any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Code of Conduct, these Terms make up the entire agreement between you and Bitroot regarding use of the Site, superseding any prior understanding on the same subject.
No waiver: our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms on a given occasion does not waive our right to enforce it later. If we choose not to act on a particular breach, that decision is specific to that instance and doesn't set a precedent for how we'll respond to similar situations in the future.
Assignment: you may not transfer or assign your rights or obligations under these Terms to anyone else without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of substantially all of our relevant assets, provided the assignee agrees to honor the commitments made here.
Changes to these Terms: we may revise these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, and we'll try to additionally announce material changes through official community channels.
Contact: questions about these Terms can be sent via the Media Contact page.
